Han Yuchen was born in 1954 in Jilin, Jilin Province. A precocious talent, in 1968 he began making large portraits of famous people while working in the railway propaganda department of Handan, Hebei province. Painter and poet, Yuchen expresses himself through calligraphy and ink painting on rice paper, according to ancient Chinese usage, as well as with oil painting on canvas of European tradition and photography. The years of maturity have given Han Yuchen international recognition.
