Luciana Matalon

08 December 1934, Venezia - 09 October 2015, Milano

Luciana Matalon was born on December 21, 1934 in Veneto, but soon moved to Milan to study at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts. He completed his artistic training thanks to numerous trips that he made right away. A multifaceted artist, she loves to experiment and is passionately dedicated to painting, sculpture and jewelry making. He has exhibited his works in important exhibitions since 1966 both in Europe and in America and Japan. In 2000 he created the Foundation that bears his name in Milan with the aim of founding a contemporary space that could be a point of reference for new artistic movements and innovative projects. In 2006 he promoted the Beniamino Matalon Prize for the Visual Arts, lasting two years, with the aim of stimulating artists under 35 to create meaningful and deserving works, as well as supporting them in their path of artistic growth.
