Oliviero Toscani was born in Milan in 1942 and is a photojournalist. Almost immediately he started working in advertising, his first campaign was for the Algida croissant. The great novelty of his approach to advertising photography, in fact, consists in drawing heavily on the social problems of the moment and inserting them in the glossy pages of advertising.
