Diocesan Museum of Alba
P.zza Rossetti (ingresso dal campanile della cattedrale), Alba
Closed now: open at 15:00
The Diocesan Museum of Alba participates in the European Archaeology Days with a unique event presenting the restoration work of the archaeological excavation and the new multimedia setup: RESTORATIONS AND DIGITAL STORIES AT MUDI. From the conservation to the enhancement of the archaeological path of the Diocesan Museum of Alba.
The occasion is ideal to share with the public these recent years of restoration work, carried out by La Bottegaccia snc – Restauri, essential to keep in good condition the evidence that archaeologists brought to light during the excavation campaign of 2007 - 2008, and thus appreciate the history they preserve.
Mudi is now enriched with new visual and sound stories with the aim of making the visiting experience more engaging. The ancient history of Alba Pompeia and the medieval Cathedral come to life thanks to video narrations, multimedia applications, and sound stories, making it accessible and captivating.
The new multimedia setup has been curated by Punto Rec Studios, in dialogue with the historical-artistic and archaeological skills of the Mudi staff and in collaboration with Sonitus for the supply of technological supports. This synergy has transformed the visit into an immersive experience, combining innovative technologies, digital reconstructions, and interactive solutions that make visitors engaged in the dialogue between history, archaeology, and contemporaneity.
The presentation will take place at 5:00 PM at the Diocesan Museum. Admission is free.
