The exhibition Ten years of "BOOKS FOR ALL": when accessible reading becomes reality arrives at the Diocesan Library of Alba, from June 19 to July 19. The exhibition, set up in the spaces of the Episcopal Seminary, is itinerant and celebrates the 10 years of the project by the Paideia Foundation of Turin, realized with the support of the Piedmont Region. Admission is free, during the opening hours of the Seminary, from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm (ring the bell at the secretariat - entrance on Piazza Vittorio Veneto).
There is a way of reading that excludes no one. A way in which words are accompanied by symbols, stories become accessible, and every child can feel part of the narrative. It is from this vision that, ten years ago, "Books for All" was born, the project of Paideia Foundation realized with the support of Piedmont Region, which has now transformed accessible reading into a widespread cultural practice in the Piedmont area.
Born in 2016 to meet the needs of all readers, especially those living in a condition of communicative and linguistic fragility, the project has over time built a vibrant and widespread network in the territory involving libraries, schools, hospitals, Local Health Authorities, associations, and families, promoting the dissemination of books in CAA (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) symbols.
