Two-piece dress consisting of skirt and bodice in black velvet with sequin applications, datable to around the end of the 19th century and part of the Adelaide del Balzo Pignatelli collection, Neapolitan noblewoman, well-known Italian educator, writer and philanthropist who lived between the 19th and 20th centuries century. It is an example of the work of the well-known tailor's shop Claire Juteau, present in Naples since the end of the nineteenth century located in Piazza Vittoria, 6. The atelier acquired enormous prestige in the Neapolitan capital managing to represent Naples at the Turin International Exhibition of 1911 in the Fashion Pavilion.
