Description

Sunk by the first half of the 1st century A.D., has been identified as a pleasure craft. The structure, in holm oak and pine, with an insert in the bow of oak, has been preserved in an extraordinary way: the benches on which the rowers sat and a tablet nailed on one of the benches that it reports, engraved on the wood, the five letters that make up the word ALK (E) DO. In fact, seagull, translation from Latin, is the name that identifies the ship. During the excavation phase, the traces of red and white were still visible on the external sides, colors with which the boat must have been painted.
