25 May 1887, Fossombrone - 19 November 1955, Monza

Anselmo Bucci was an Italian painter and engraver associated with the Novecento Italiano group, known for a style that combines modern classicism and strong formal research. Born in Fossombrone and trained between Milan and Paris, Bucci developed a personal language that encompasses symbolism, impressionism, and lyrical realism. A versatile artist and experimenter, he participated in numerous national and international exhibitions, becoming a central figure in Italian art of the early 20th century. Today Anselmo Bucci is recognized as one of the protagonists of the Italian artistic renewal, with works present in important museums and collections.
