Description

1940 development of the model designed for the Albini house, and the living room in a villa, VII Milan Triennale 1952 (first version with seat support strap) 1956 (second version with vertical legs and without seat support strap) 1967 Poggi production - Review of the first Fiorenza made in 1940 for the Albini house The armchair with exposed wooden structure is the progenitor of a long series of models, which will land on the variants produced in the fifties by Arflex with the name Fiorenza, up to the definitive PL44 model by Poggi. It is an armchair designed to give support, evenly distributed, to the entire surface of the parts of the seated person's body, as if to achieve the floating conditions of a body in a liquid. The support surface of the seat, backrest and armrests is obtained with a sheet of foam rubber subjected to an interweaving of elastic rubber tape, stretched over an iron tubular structure.
