On Wednesday 10 May at 6.30 pm , at the Lercaro Collection in via Riva di Reno 57, Bologna, Dynamics of balance opens, an exhibition curated by Pasquale Fameli and Pierluca Nardoni, created with the contribution of the Cassa di Risparmio in Bologna Foundation and with the patronage of the Department of Arts of the University of Bologna. The exhibition features four artists who in the second half of the twentieth century - albeit in a discreet, but no less interesting and significant way - characterized the cultural scene of Bologna: Giovanni Korompay, Antonio Mazzotti, Mario Nanni and Ivo Tartarini.

In the intention of the curators, the works of these artists have been investigated with the desire to highlight the close dialogue that exists within their artistic experience, an aspect that certainly constitutes a novelty with respect to the reading that critics had of these authors until now proposed. Their adherence to geometrism, therefore, is read within a mutual and reciprocal relationship, in the desire to observe - this is the intention of Fameli and Nardoni - how correspondences and handing down exist between the four individual paths often dictated by esteem and attendance mutual. Starting from the work of Korompay, a Venetian futurist active in the city of Bologna from the mid-1940s, correlations and references between the various artists are brought to light, in an itinerary that includes thirty-seven works, including three sculptures.

The exhibition, in addition to offering a significant contribution on the studies of Bolognese art of the second half of the twentieth century, also becomes an opportunity to enhance the works of these four artists present in the Lercaro Collection - with particular attention to those of Tartarini - in a close and intense dialogue with works from private collections.
