On the occasion of the Milano-Cortina 2026 Olympic Games, Ikonos Art Gallery, LUMEN Museum and Fabbrica del Vapore open their doors to the exhibition by the photographer Stefano Zardini. “A Visionary at Altitude – N vijionar sö alalt” is an immersive experience in the world of contemporary photography and of art in the service of the mountains. The project shows three main collections, very different from one another in atmosphere and visual approach, whose only common thread is the profound and visionary thinking of Stefano Zardini, guiding visitors along a journey made of places, sounds and silences, but above all of mountain men and women. The exhibition can be visited from December 2025 to April 2026 in Cortina, Plan de Corones and Milan, creating an ideal bridge between the city and the Dolomite peaks that have fueled the photographer’s imagination since childhood.

At LUMEN the exhibition will be inaugurated on January 27 at 11:00 a.m., the day of the passage of the Olympic torch at Plan de Corones and show images of the collections The Pioneers’ Passion and Snowland.
The Pioneers’ Passion, one of the most visionary projects by the photographer, originates from the monumental family archive of vintage photographs, transformed by the author into a contemporary narrative through chromatic and graphic interventions in a pop key, bringing new life to the historic images of the first pioneers of the mountains. Snwoland, on the other hand, offers an unusual interpretative key to the celebrated Dolomite peaks, transformed into a gigantic fun park thanks to a sophisticated stylistic and intellectual play of provocations. A body of work that investigates and reinterprets the natural environment, seen and understood in relation to its people.
