Ambrotos is Greek for “immortality,” and this is the precise technique used by LIGHTCATCHER, also known as Barbara Holzknecht and Kurt Moser. This photographic technique invented back in 1850 uses large, historical folding cameras to create UNIQUE IMAGES that capture ultraviolet light, which is otherwise invisible to the human eye. Each image is an analog positive. It is not possible to enlarge pictures or create prints or copies. Unique images – a rare sight in the fast-paced world of today, which is dominated by digital photography. The black cathedral glass plates with their metallic shimmer are a special sight made of pure silver and light, captured on glass for a short eternity. Visitors can look through one of these historical cameras and get a firsthand feel for the rich details and depth of these images.
