From 16 December to 16 March, the exhibition "Nino Longobardi at the Royal Palace of Caserta" will take place in the rooms of the Picture Gallery. The exhibition is a selection of works chosen by the artist focusing on the human figure.

On 15 December, at 5pm, the inauguration will be held in the exhibition spaces for guests and the press, in the presence of Longobardi and the director Tiziana Maffei. Man, the creator of his own life, is the reference parameter around which Nino Longobardi's artistic project for the Royal Palace of Caserta revolves. Each of us has our own time in this life. The emptiness or fullness with which we fill the body that guards our being depends on the value we attribute to life itself and the meaning we give to the actions we carry out daily, every day, one after the other.

If actions are empty of thought, we will be 'skeletons' without substance even before the end of our time. Nino Longobardi's invitation is, therefore, to fill our present time with meaning - the here and now - to give meaning to our life and go beyond death. A daily rebirth, prefiguration of a passage towards eternity guaranteed by the memory of those who, continuing to live after us, will remember and preserve the meaning of our actions in life. The link between the Lombards and the Royal Palace of Caserta was born with the collection of Lucio Amelio, Terrae Motus, donated to the Museum in 1993. Longobardi is in fact the author of the large painting on canvas “Untitled, 1983” exhibited in the Royal Apartments. The Picture Gallery is on the ground floor of the second courtyard of the Royal Palace. The visit to the exhibition is included in the ordinary cost of the ticket/subscription to the Museum. The exhibition can be visited every day the Museum is open from 8.30am to 7.15pm with last entry at 6.30pm.
