The Visconti Tower hosts "Listening to Echo. Fragments of broken voices", an exhibition promoted by Terziario Donna of Confcommercio Lecco in collaboration with the Municipality of Lecco and the Urban Museum System of Lecco, created with the aim of celebrating International Women's Day 2026.

The exhibition, which will be inaugurated on Friday, March 6 at 6 pm, will feature the photographs of Francesca Della Toffola, accompanied by the poems of Margherita Rigamondi. The works of the first artist, delicate and intense, construct a visual narrative that starts from a fracture to rediscover a presence where each becomes a stage of an emotional and symbolic journey exploring the condition of women today.

Interwoven with these images are the poetic suggestions of the second artist, with deep and vibrant texts resonating on themes of identity, memory, body, belonging, wound, and care, giving voice to what often remains unexpressed.

It is an exhibition that aims to celebrate March 8 by offering a space of harmony and reflection, a place where art and poetry give voice to what in the female experience often remains submerged: fragility, desire, doubt, silent strength. Not shouted words, but a language that resonates and invites listening.

In Greek mythology, Echo was a nymph who was punished by Hera, jealous and vengeful: for distracting her while covering up Zeus' infidelities, she was condemned to only repeat the last word spoken to her or that she heard.

Echo's story is an ancient one that continues to question the present. It speaks of women in moments when their voice finds no space, is misunderstood, or reduced to the roles and expectations of others. Yet there always remains a sound thread that resists, a call that does not fade, a presence that asks to be recognized and heard.

The exhibition, free of charge, will be open for visits from March 7 to April 6, 2026.
