The Science Museum in Kensington was founded in 1857.
It is currently managed by the Science Museum Group along with four other UK museums: The Science and Industry Museum in Manchester, The National Railway Museum in York, Locomotion in County Durham, The National Science and Media Museum in Bradford.
The location of the museum is strategic, in the heart of the city.
The main entrance is on Exhibition Road, the Welcome Wing follows immediately after.
Inside the Science Museum there are many objects divided into main categories which in turn correspond to a gallery: medicine, mathematics, modern world, city of science, aviation, watchmaking, house museum.
The museum over the years has also hosted numerous exhibitions and temporary events for both children and adults.
For the little ones, Astronights are organized where children are invited to participate in science themed games and can spend the night at the museum.
For the older ones, on the other hand, once a month we organize readings and generic events.
