Hostia. Pier Paolo Pasolini, exhibition project conceived by the artist Nicola Verlato and curated by Lorenzo Canova and Vittorio Sgarbi, produced and organized by the MetaMorfosi Association in collaboration with the National Museum of Matera and the patronage of the Basilicata Region, the National Committee for the celebrations of the centenary the birth of Pier Paolo Pasolini and the Rome Quadrennial.

Inspired by the tragic death of Pier Paolo Pasolini, the exhibition is conceived as a tribute that is divided into a series of artistic declinations, paintings, sculptures, drawings, architectural projects, music and videos created by Nicola Verlato in dialogue with Matera and its territory, a place particularly dear to Pasolini who chose it to shoot The Gospel According to Matthew in 1964.

The exhibition arrives at Palazzo Lanfranchi on the occasion of the celebrations of the centenary of the birth of the artist, born in Bologna on 5 March 1922 and died in Rome in 1975 and will be open until 6 March 2023.

The exhibition catalog is available at Palazzo Lanfranchi.
