In 2025, the centenary of one of the most famous exhibition events of the twentieth century is celebrated: the Exposition internationale des arts décoratifs et industriels modernes, opened in Paris in 1925. An event that not only codified a new international aesthetic taste, rapidly spread throughout Europe in the post-war period, precisely the Style 1925 or "Art Deco", but also universally decreed the success of Italian decorative arts. In this new refined and elegant dimension - between high artistic craftsmanship and industrial production - the foundations are laid for that synthesis made of quality materials, extraordinary technical skills, and unique creativity, known worldwide as "Made in Italy". To celebrate this anniversary - and as part of a critical reflection on culture and art in Europe and, in particular, in Italy in the twenties - the exhibition "Art Deco. The triumph of modernity" is born, scheduled at Palazzo Reale in Milan from February 27 to June 29, 2025 and curated by Valerio Terraroli.
