The exhibition "Memories from the Future. Joe Colombo's design for Kartell" presents a selection of projects born from the collaboration between one of the most visionary designers of the twentieth century and Kartell. After the first stop at the Kartell Museum, the exhibition arrives in Milan in a capsule format, highlighting the relevance of insights that have been able to transform materials, light, and color into innovative living experiences.
The exhibition path is divided into three sections dedicated to the "future" in its different declinations: The future of yesterday, with the pioneering Universal chair; The future of today, exploring lighting projects now part of our daily lives; The future of tomorrow, presenting the armchair with curved elements and the KD 28 lamp as symbols of durability and design vision.
The exhibition highlights how the partnership between Colombo and Kartell, based on experimentation and the search for new technologies, has marked a fundamental chapter in the history of Italian design. Despite being conceived over fifty years ago, the exhibited projects continue to suggest new perspectives and guide reflection on the design of the future.
