On the occasion of the 211th anniversary of the foundation of the Carabinieri Corps, from June 5 to 26, 2025, Palazzo Reale opens to the public the exhibition "Always, everywhere. 211 years of Carabinieri history between art, cinema, and society," a project that tells how this institution is present in the history of the arts in our country, from painting to cinema to literature.

The exhibition path is divided into eight thematic sections and through a wide selection of archival materials, audiovisuals, and works of art, it showcases the different ways in which the Carabinieri are represented in painting, sculpture, and cinema, with works by, among others, Ottone Rosai, Pietro Annigoni, Sandro Chia, Mimmo Paladino, Francesco Clemente, and Michelangelo Pistoletto.

The exhibition - free admission - also retraces the bond between the Carabinieri and Milan, since their first arrival in the city in 1859 at Palazzo Cattaneo, headquarters of the Command of the Carabinieri Legion Lombardia, in the current Via della Moscova.
