In January 2024 Casa degli Artisti hosted the Swiss duo Trickster-p in residence. During the days spent in the spaces of the House, the company worked on the development of the new production The Game, inviting small groups of spectators to test the performative device in progress.

The Trickster-p residency was born as part of the collaboration between Casa degli Artisti and Triennale Milano Teatro, started in 2023 with the presentation of the performance Deposta by Traslochi Emotivi/Giulia Currà and the audiovisual improvisation Circo Ipnotico by the historic Milanese collective Otolab, which celebrated its twenty years of activity in residence at Casa degli Artisti.

After the consensus obtained by the Eutopia project, with The Game Trickster-p he returns to investigate gaming as a possible artistic form, as well as the relationship between performance, gaming and society. The Game simulates the norms of our society and its relationship with economic dynamics. Catapulted onto a small island, the participants divided into teams will find themselves deciding on which basis to organize a plot of land, aiming to increase their resources through targeted strategies. Players will thus be able to experience the dynamics of our contemporaneity, the relationship between free choice and social conditioning, developing possible collective tools for change.

The Game will debut at LAC Lugano Arte a Cultura from 21 to 28 March 2024 and then return to Casa degli Artisti as part of the FOG Performing Arts Festival of Triennale Milano Teatro from 3 to 7 April 2024.
