Viafarini was founded in 1991 with the aim of promoting the professional growth of young artists and raising public awareness about contemporary artistic research, combining production, exhibition, educational activities, and documentation services on visual arts.
Viafarini's noble cause is articulated in three fundamental points: to introduce young Italian artists into the contemporary art system, as a first step towards their growth and subsequent interest from curators, critics, and museums; to promote artists' mobility and support them in seeking funding, as a necessary condition for their professional growth, also at an international level; to expand the audience interested in artistic research through exhibitions, educational tools, and training.
