Fondazione Ago – Modena Fabbriche Culturali is a Third Sector Entity: the founding members are the Municipality of Modena, Fondazione di Modena, and the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. 

Ago offers a coordinated, original, and forward-looking cultural offer, allowing to increase the international projection of the Modena system, the growth of a knowledge and lifelong learning society, the enhancement of research and technology transfer, and the attraction of talents. Fondazione Ago inherits the legacy of FMAV Fondazione Modena Arti Visive and the three institutions merged into it, Galleria Civica di Modena, Fondazione Fotografia Modena, Museo della Figurina.

Located in one of the most important streets of the historic center of Modena, Palazzo Santa Margherita, whose name derives from the church that once stood in this area. Access to the rooms of Ago is gained by going up to the first floor where the Sala Grande is located. Continuing to the left, you access the staircase leading to the Upper Rooms on the second floor. At the same level, part of the photography collections and the drawing and graphic collection managed by Ago are also located, which scholars and enthusiasts can view by appointment. If you continue in the opposite direction from the Sala Grande, past the ticket office and bookshop, you access the staircase leading to the Museo della Figurina, a large space set up with displays designed as large albums to browse through and a 12-meter showcase.
