Cutting Clouds | Cutting clouds is a program that includes actions linked by the common denominator of the ephemeral and impermanent. The title refers to Cloud Scissors, a work conceived in the early '60s by George Brecht. Some cards indicating places, times, and methods are instructions for a possible happening combined from multiple events: random directions to follow to push creative boundaries through play and experimentation. The tools left as a legacy by Brecht become the stimulus for an imaginative exercise.
In the liminal spaces of the museum, interventions and works present a potentiality, an idea of incompleteness adopting different media. Cutting Clouds, reflecting the ever-changing nature of clouds, evolves through operations that aim to activate potential creativity by appreciating the random, the improvised, and the indeterminate.
