From 21 January to 30 June 2022
The exhibition "Sing Sing. The body of Pompeii" (21 January - 30 June 2022) is a photographic project by Luigi Spina dedicated to the famous deposits in the attics of the National Archaeological Museum of Naples. The exhibition is a prelude to the new path of public accessibility of museum deposits undertaken by the director Paolo Giulierini.
Spina, best senior photographer of 2020 according to Artribune, author of numerous publications distributed all over the world, has been working for years on the study and narration of the archaeological masterpieces. In this exhibition he presents to the public the results of his research trip to MANN made this time in the "cells" of Sing Sing (definition coined by Giuseppe Maggi in the 70s) in fifty black and white shots, a research that also produced the refined volume published by 5 Continents Editions.
