The Giacometti Foundation is a private institution dedicated to the sculptor Alberto Giacometti located in Paris, in the Montparnasse district, where Giacometti lived and worked during his career. The Giacometti Foundation is the reference place for Giacometti's artistic work. It is a research study center and an important exhibition center for exhibitions relating to the artist. The headquarters of the Giacometti Foundation is located in the former studio of the artist Paul Follot, a hotel particulier in a déco style. The permanent collection of the Foundation is entirely dedicated to Giacometti's work. It is Giacometti's largest collection, and consists of 95 paintings, 260 bronze sculptures, 550 plaster sculptures and thousands of drawings. In addition, there are also numerous documents that testify to the artist's creative phase: notes, sketches, manuscripts, letters with other artists or intellectuals and a large part of his private library, including magazines, books, exhibition catalogs, newspapers.
