closed Saint Augustine: light and image

The show

The 1300 years since the arrival of the remains of Saint Augustine from Cagliari to Pavia represent the most important and identifying event of our city for 2023. For this reason the Municipality of Pavia, with the contribution of the Cariplo Foundation, wanted the Civic Museums, as part of the broader programming that the city dedicates to the anniversary, were protagonists of the Augustinian year with a cultural proposal that combines scientific rigor and originality.

The Sant'Agostino exhibition: light and image. An interactive journey from Hippo to Pavia is specially created with the care of the scientific staff of the Museums, created by camerAnebbia, a specialist in interactive multimedia installations for the enjoyment of cultural heritage. The exhibition combines the eternal charm of great Italian painting with the most refined contemporary technology made available in the history of art. The result is a highly evocative experience.

The Sala del Rivellino, specially redesigned to host the exhibition, thus becomes an experiential space in which the visitor is the protagonist through interactive video installations that accompany a journey among the masterpieces of art, to discover the life and thought of the Father of the Church .
