From 18 April to 23 August 2020
Pistoia Museums Foundation presents "Pistoia Novecento 1900-1945" the renewed exhibition itinerary of Palazzo de 'Rossi curated by Annamaria Iacuzzi and Philip Rylands which opens to the public from 18 April 2019 and will remain visible until 19 April 2020.
The new staging of the permanent collection of the Pistoia Museums Foundation displays some of the most representative works of the Pistoia twentieth century acquired by the Caript Foundation and alongside works on loan from the Intesa Sanpaolo collection.
The rearrangement conceived by Iacuzzi and Rylands allows a reading of the Pistoian artistic panorama in its articulation of generations and exhibition moments over the first forty years of the century: paintings, sculptures and graphic works by Pistoian authors active between 1900 and 1945 were flanked by works by non-Pistoian artists, whose role proved to be significant for the city's cultural circumstances of the period.
