The show

From 20 December 2023 to 25 January 2024 the Nicola del Roscio Foundation hosts the Diadi exhibition, the result of an educational journey started in January 2023 carried out by the Curatorial Collective of the Master in Art Management of the Luiss Business School, under the supervision of Achille Bonito Oliva.

The title Diadi refers to a concept of dualism and union. In Platonic philosophy the dyad is the point of order that flows into disorder and vice versa. This dualism is also investigated by Nietzsche in The Birth of Tragedy, where the dialectic between Apollonian and Dionysian is revealed. This alternation and co-presence of chaos and logos is expressed in the exhibition, which will develop in a circular path also favored by the dynamic morphology of the spaces of the Nicola del Roscio Foundation. This circularity, in addition to reiterating the links of interdependence that operate between these two forces, allows the visitor to return to the route, reconsidering it in light of the total. In this way the Apollonian and the Dionysian alternate, gradually transforming into each other.

The exhibition, the result of a year of work and research by the students, compares great historicized Italian and international artists such as Carla Accardi, Julian Schnabel and Jannis Kounellis alongside more contemporary authors such as Loris Cecchini, Giulia Cenci, Lulù Nuti and David Casini.

Enriching the exhibition itinerary will be the three finalist works of the International Contemporary Generation Award, this year in its eighth edition; the prize, organized by the Master's students, offers young artists at the beginning of their career the opportunity to see their works compared to those of already well-known artists and to make themselves better known in the contemporary artistic panorama.
