From 30 May to 7 January 2026
ENTRATE is a multi-year program dedicated to design, which aims to rethink the Museum's hall as a place for promoting and sharing contemporary creativity. Since 2023, the MAXXI has started acquiring a collection of contemporary design, becoming the first museum institution to welcome the most current forms of the discipline and to work by intercepting its most significant expressions.
For the first edition, Nacho Carbonell, a Spanish designer based in Eindhoven, was involved. He works with natural materials associated with experimental techniques. For the MAXXI hall, Carbonell has designed a large 7-meter-high tree, under and inside which an environment is created to be explored and experienced surrounded by lights and canopies made with fishing nets, to which objects and furnishings accessible to everyone are associated.
