The rich cultural programming of the Fortezza Firmafede in Sarzana (SP) continues, hosting the 37th edition of the National Antiques Exhibition "Città di Sarzana" from August 14th to 24th, 2025.

The event, organized by the Sarzana Antiquaria Association in collaboration with Confcommercio La Spezia and the Municipality of Sarzana, is much more than a well-established event in the Italian antique trade scene: it is an event that celebrates art in all its forms, offering an authentic, profound, and accessible cultural experience.

The unique setting of Fortezza Firmafede, a masterpiece of Florentine Renaissance architecture steeped in history and charm, which in 2025 hosted a wide range of cultural events - including the major exhibition of Giorgio de Chirico "The Metaphysics of Creation" - once again confirms itself as the beating heart of the event, a perfect synthesis of art, memory, and beauty.

Within its ancient walls, the Fortezza will host a prestigious selection of antique dealers from all over Italy, offering a range of items from antique furniture to paintings, from ancient carpets to artistic ceramics, from designer glassware to creations by famous 20th-century designers. Each exhibited object is the result of careful research guided by passion, expertise, and deep respect for time and art.

The exhibition path will traditionally unfold on two levels of the historic "cells," culminating on the second floor in the exhibition hall dedicated to Fiorella Carelli Carozzi, a historic antique dealer from Sarzana and a symbolic figure of the local antique culture.

To enrich and engage visitors' experience even further, thematic meetings with scholars, antique dealers, and restorers are planned this year, along with a collateral exhibition in the underground areas of the Fortezza dedicated to local artists - both emerging and established - in a fascinating dialogue between past and present.
