From 5 December to 25 January 2026
“MICRO MACRO – The contemporary mosaic by Emanuele Sari” is the new exhibition that from December 5, 2025 to January 25, 2026 transforms the spaces of Casa Robegan into a journey between fragment and totality.
Once again this year, the synergy between the Municipality of Treviso, the Civic Museums, and Banca Prealpi SanBiagio – Gruppo Cassa Centrale, together with the English gallery Cris Contini Contemporary, in collaboration with the Mazzotti Foundation, organizes the end-of-year exhibition: an eagerly awaited event that combines contemporary art, local identity, and tradition.+
With MICRO MACRO curated by Sandra Sanson and Pasquale Lettieri, the Venetian artist Emanuele Sari presents a new project that merges mosaic tradition and contemporary language, consolidating the artist's presence in Treviso, where he has already created a mural inspired by Venetian culture.
Sari adopts mosaic language as an expressive form, using a direct technique that involves the manual modeling and application of each individual tile directly on the support, to create vibrant and dynamic surfaces. The works, made with precious Venetian materials - such as enamels, gold leaf from the Orsoni furnace, and Murano murrine - combine material refinement and technical rigor.
At the center of his research lies the play of scales that characterizes the mosaic: the “micro”, tiny and precious fragment, and the “macro”, overall image that takes shape and captures the gaze from a distance. In MICRO MACRO, this dialectic between detail and overall vision guides the viewer in an immersive experience, intertwining mosaic tradition and pop imagery, between cartoons, photography, and icons of contemporary culture.
The exhibition path opens with an iconic work inspired by the movie Joker, the manifesto of the exhibition, and continues with the reconstruction of the artist's studio, an authentic place where craftsmanship meets the inner dimension. A video accompanies the visitor in discovering the creative process, revealing the patience and precision that characterize Sari's work.
