The MAUTO - National Automobile Museum welcomes in its spaces - from Thursday, October 30, 2025, to Sunday, March 8, 2026 - the exhibition News from the Near Future, an extension of the exhibition project set up at the headquarters of the Fondazione in via Modane, on the occasion of the thirtieth anniversary of the Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo.

The exhibition represents the first act of a new cultural project for MAUTO, which inaugurates a cycle of collaborations with contemporary cultural institutions, in the sign of a renewed, open, and intersectional vision that characterizes the new energy of the National Automobile Museum. Desired by the Museum's board and President Benedetto Camerana and led by Director Lorenza Bravetta, this vision defines the Museum as a platform for dialogue between knowledge and languages, capable of accompanying its historical identity with a dynamic, relational, and critical attitude.

The collaboration with the Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo - a major player in the cultural life of Turin and Italy and one of the most authoritative voices in the international contemporary art scene - marks the concrete start of this process. The project is based on a deep understanding between two institutions that share the desire to engage with the complexity of the present and reinterpret heritage through new narrative paradigms.

What emerges from the union and collaboration between the two institutions goes beyond mere coexistence, defining a curatorial gesture that expands the codes of the museum narrative, inviting the public to new forms of reading and engagement. This orientation is part of a structural update plan for MAUTO, involving content, exhibition devices, and communicative languages.
