OGR Torino invites you to the press preview of Re-Stor(y)ing Oceania , curated by Taloi Havini , an exhibition born from the partnership with TBA21 – Academy with which OGR chooses to return to Venice on the occasion of the 60th International Exhibition of 'Art.The artist from the island of Bougainville collaborates again with Ocean Space after her 2021 solo show and as curator presents two site-specific commissions by indigenous Pacific artists Latai Taumoepeau and Elisapeta Hinemoa Heta .
The exhibition project, commissioned by TBA21–Academy and Artspace, Sydney, and produced in collaboration with OGR Torino, proposes a dialogue made of performance, sculpture, poetry, sound and movement whose focus will be the Pacific and in particular mining activity in the depths of the Ocean, known as deep sea mining. With this new production, OGR Torino marks a new stage in their history of relationships and collaborations with important artistic institutions and continues to support the artists' research, confirming themselves as a center of experimentation and renewal , rooted in the Turin area and at the same time open to the world.
