Widespread in the nineteenth century, the friendship cups were usually single pieces, collectible or showcase, decorated with a symbolic or allegorical image, accompanied by a motto, a maxim or a dedication. The ones produced by the Vienna manufacturer were very beautiful and were distinguished by the bright colors of the enamels, such as the example of the Coronini collections dated 1812.
