Description

Stone mace heads from the Copper Age necropolis (about IV-III millennium BC) of Li Muri (Sardinia, Italy). The mace heads come from the funerary objects of some tombs in the Li Muri necropolis. They were instruments composed of a round stone element, inserted in a wooden shaft. They were probably used as weapons.
