From Saturday, March 15, 2025, the Cathedral of the Image in Florence will host a new immersive exhibition dedicated to the master of Fauvism: Henri Matisse. Inside Matisse - Immersive Exhibition delves into the life of an extraordinary artist, revealing to the viewers the revolutionary and colorful art of the French painter and sculptor, allowing them to establish an almost personal connection with form and color, the true protagonists of this digital production. Inside Matisse will welcome its visitors every day in the heart of what has now become a reference point for digital art lovers: a 360° multimedia space that for 35 minutes will be flooded with images, lights, colors, and music, literally enveloping the audience in the colorful paintings of Henri Matisse. A meeting point between art, history, and technology, an emotional experience that will touch the visitors' hearts. The visitor's journey begins in the Hall of Mirrors, the first point of contact with the immersiveness of Inside Matisse where the kaleidoscope of images of the greatest masterpieces of the father of Fauvism chase each other in an infinite loop on the walls covered with mirrors, creating a sensation of wonder and estrangement. Then, the journey continues in the Immersive Room, the beating heart of the Cathedral of the Image, where Matisse's art becomes the absolute protagonist. The visit concludes in the Crypt of the church, the perfect place to discover or deepen the knowledge of the personal and artistic history of Henri Matisse and to engage in unique interactive activities, created exclusively for Inside Matisse.
