House Museum Ugo Guidi
The Ugo Guidi Museum (Mug) is a small private museum that testifies to the fertilian cultural season of the second '900 present in Forte dei Marmi. Ugo Guidi (1912-1977) He made his works here and entertained relations with his colleagues and friends Treccani, Carrà, De Grada, ropes, soft, Migneco, Cassinari, Cagli, Afro, Dova, Campigli, Greek, Rosai, Maccari, Bueno, etc. The Guidi house was not only an atelier, where the Master conceived and created most of him, but also a cenacle of artists and intellectuals. Currently, over 400 works can be admired in it, between sculptures, drawings and tempera, ranging from the 1940s to 1977 and show the artistic development of the Master together with documents, photographs and letters of his colleagues and friends. Today it is a place of culture in which exhibitions of contemporary artists who dialogue through works, videos, performance and installations with the works of Ugo Guidi are set up. The Friends Association of the Ugo Guidi Museum since 2005 make the museum collections usable and carries out this activity of artistic teaching and enhancing excellence with tenacity and for free. The Ugo Guidi Museum house is present as a museum in the culture system of the Tuscany region, in the list of "memory houses" of the same region, and in the stock photographic archives of Lucca and Massa-Carrara.
