From 15 December to 28 January 2024
The Visibile/Invisibile exhibition opens on Friday 15 December at 7pm. Techniques of Wonder, edited by Francesca Alfano Miglietti. The exhibition features the six young artists Florentin Aisslinger (for the Nuovo Grand Tour), Lan Gao, Olmo Gasperini, Marco Paganini, Dario Pruonto and Alessia Rosato and the three international tutor artists Cesare Fullone, Giuliana Cuneaz and Antonio Marras, who took part to the residency that began in September in the ateliers of Casa degli Artisti.
The theme of the exhibition arises from the need to show works that reflect on the most innovative and discussed artistic and social themes of recent decades, namely that of invisibility. We talk about social and existential issues, issues that concern the human being as much as the environment, which take on the characteristics of an all-encompassing vision, such as to become practically invisible. That's what it's for to focus on wonder, but not a cultured or sophistical wonder, not the kind we know in fairy tales that leads us to believe things that are unimaginable, but rather a naive, enchanted wonder, the wonder of simple things, like the stars. and the sea, which never tires.
The works on display arise from a natural desire to be enchanted by what surrounds us through the "attempt to give shape to the invisible". In this sense the techniques of wonder serve to conceal rather than reveal, to remove and welcome, to leave the desire for the unknown and to immerse oneself in the risk of finding the courage to remain with one's gaze forever turned towards wonder.
