It starts from words, to describe what photography is today, with the definitions collected in recent weeks on Italian-language search engines, and then move on to images that arise directly from words. This is what happens, in fact, with artificial intelligence when it is the compilation of the "prompt", not the framing or focusing, that determines the result we see. It is from here, both from a technical and a perceptual point of view, that the reflection of the artist originally from Brussels, Mishka Henner, develops with the exhibition "Seeing is Believing. Seeing to Believe", his first solo show in Italy proposed by Fondazione Ago in Modena from Friday, March 6, opening at 6 pm.

The exhibition, curated by Chiara Dall'Olio, presents at Palazzo Santa Margherita (via Canalgrande 103) 25 completely unpublished works and is divided into four sections in which the photographic document is used as a means to explore contemporaneity, where credible does not mean real, let alone true. It starts from language itself, from the attempt to tell with words alone what photography is today, then moves on to two sections of images created with AI (photographs of biblical events and icons of saints created as if they were vintage snapshots) and finally closes the path with a contemplative and immersive vision of light, the essential energy form that creates images, both on paper and on screen.

The exhibition "Seeing is Believing. Seeing to Believe" can be visited from March 6 to May 3 from Wednesday to Friday from 11 am to 1 pm and from 4 pm to 7 pm; on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays continuously from 11 am to 7 pm. Entrance fee: 10 euros (reduced 5 euros), with discounts for residents of the province of Modena (7 euros).

Reduced ticket also for those who have a ticket to the Museo della Figurina or another Ago exhibition. Free entrance for everyone on the first Sunday of the month; for residents also every Wednesday, as per Fondazione Ago's tradition.
