Starting from the Sound Portrait competition of the Valenzi ETS Foundation and the Alessandro Scarlatti Association, in collaboration with the Academy of Fine Arts of Naples, on Saturday, January 18th at 12:30 pm the exhibition "Sound Portrait, the Exhibition" will be inaugurated. The exhibition consists of about twenty works by various artists accompanied by preparatory sketches made during the open rehearsals, which were held at Villa Pignatelli between November 30th and December 6th, 2024.Present for the Alessandro Scarlatti Association will be President Oreste de Divitiis and Director Tommaso Rossi, for the Academy of Fine Arts Olga Scotto di Vettimo and Director Giuseppe Gaeta.The competition, inspired by the acute introspective sensitivity that characterizes the numerous drawings by Maurizio Valenzi dedicated to music and musicians, many of which were created precisely during his frequent participation in the concerts organized by the Scarlatti Association at Villa Pignatelli in the seventies, awarded 19 illustrators who, with their works, interpreted musicians, atmospheres, and suggestions of the "Ensemble Music Week".
