The oratory of the Bianchi is located in the historic center of Palermo, in the Kalsa district. The oratory is known as "The oratory of the noble, primary and royal Company of the Most Holy Crucifix". The oratory was founded in 1542 by the will of the homonymous Company of ecclesiastics. The name derives from the tunics worn by its members. The oratory is very interesting both from an architectural and a decorative point of view. Significant are the marble balustrades with the effigies of prophets and the bas-reliefs depicting the deeds of the confraterlli. The main hall is frescoed by Gioacchino Mercurio with the Beheading of St. John the Baptist. On the other hand, the Salone Fumagalli, the meeting room, houses the "Deposition" by Gaspare Fumagalli. Inside, the oratory has valuable works of art, such as: "Eternal Father, Allegory of Charity, Santa Rosalia" and "Allegory of Victory and Purity" by Giacomo Serpotta.
