From 4 October to 12 October 2025
On Saturday, October 4, 2025, in the evocative spaces of fabbricapoggi in Pavia, organized by the L2Arte Gallery, the exhibition Urban Poetry by the artist Davide Fioretta Falky, curated by Rosanna Accordino, will be inaugurated. The artistic event features the exhibition of paintings and installations that are part of the artist's most recent production, who lives and works in the city of Villafranca di Verona.
Urban poetry ideally traverses different literary movements starting from the chivalric novel as a symbol of innovation for its time, which uses the vernacular language, namely romance, to communicate to everyone and tell stories of love and struggle, of life and death, in a container of emotions as well as timeless values. Similarly, Davide Fioretta Falky's paintings explore society, politics, the customs and habits of contemporary man, of the urban reality in which he lives, with a direct and impactful visual language, where the human figure wanders, gets lost, seeks itself in the intricacies of a technology that becomes increasingly voracious for content, for overexposure, relentlessly hunting for dopamine. It is the man who consumes himself, who transmutes into the silhouette of an ideal self, sometimes hidden behind a black and white of pessimism and nihilism, in other cases flamboyant like puppets at a fair.
The artist, like a poet observing reality fragmented into segments of sense and feeling, reassembles it by creating enigmas, posing questions, encouraging the observer to critique and dialogue. Fioretta Falky's painting has always been an expression of inner search, between symbols and allegories, and an aesthetic that draws from contemporary art: in this sense, the exhibition presents itself as a human library that preserves collective memory, a multitude that tells the individual, like his works crowded with characters, restless seekers of something, perhaps of themselves or of a higher sense of life.
