Show promoted by the Department of Culture of Rome Capital and Special Company Palaexpo realized by Special Company Palaexpo in collaboration with Untitled Group s.r.l.s.

The exhibition "Nomads of the Dream" curated by Nicoletta Provenzano presents a corpus of graphic works, matrices, drawings, and photo-etchings by the Roman artist Andrea Lelario.

Around six hundred drawings made in pen on notebooks will be exhibited - partly from the collection acquired by the Cabinet of Drawings and Prints of the Uffizi and partly created specifically for the exhibition - a series of engravings and photo-etchings dedicated to the Cosmos, the Roman countryside, and the dreamlike world belonging as much to the sidereal space as to the inner dimension.

The world traced in the drawings and engraved lines introduces the observer to a dreamlike journey into the intimacy of the imaginary and the cosmic elegy. Terrestrial, metamorphic, and metaphorical imprints of primordial depths bring to the surface a sign and symbolic territory where microcosm and macrocosm coincide.

In the artist's works, the sign - an intellectual gesture and exploration, at the same time, of the boundaries of sensible reality - becomes a dream, traced as a trace of an imaginary diary itinerary.

The exhibition will be accompanied by a catalog curated by Nicoletta Provenzano published by Dario Cimorelli Editore with the support of the Academy of Fine Arts of Rome.

The project involves the direct involvement of the Academy of Fine Arts of Rome with which workshops and conferences will be organized. Previews of the exhibition will be the conference on July 11 and the performance by Andrea Lelario with pianist Matteo Bevilacqua on July 18, both of which will take place at the Auditorium of Palazzo Esposizioni Roma.
