Palazzo Merulana hosts Contenuti per la cura, an exhibition featuring the research of Cecilia Cocco and Daniela Flores on the theme of care, understood as attention, listening, welcoming, and transformation.

Cecilia Cocco's painting work moves in a space suspended between dream and reality: her works do not narrate, but evoke. Disused objects, enigmatic figures, and out-of-context details become poetic tools to investigate the boundary between the visible and the invisible, inviting the viewer to slow down and be touched by a subtle and unexpected beauty. Born in 2001, graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice, Cocco exhibited at the Venice Pavilion of the Biennale Arte 2024 as the winner of the Artefici del Nostro Tempo competition.

Through photography, Daniela Flores explores care as an exercise of the gaze: a patient attention towards cracks, time, and what often goes unnoticed. The fractures become possibilities, the junctions memories, in a journey that reflects on transformation and the value of change. A theme that ideally dialogues with the history of Palazzo Merulana itself, from a place of physical care to a space dedicated to the care of the soul.

The exhibition also includes L’arte in backstage, a photographic intervention by Matteo Giardiello, portraying the artists at work, intertwining the creative process and lived experience in an evolving visual narrative.

Contenuti per la cura is an invitation to observe with greater awareness, to inhabit time and space with a more attentive gaze, capable of recognizing in fragility a form of possibility.
