Restored, renewed, and returned to the community, the Pinacoteca de Napoli reopens to the public with an exhibition that will bring new life among the exhibition halls of this important cultural institution. The Municipality of Terlizzi, Department of Territorial Marketing and Productive Activities, with the support of the Puglia Region, has established the Artistic and Artisanal Ceramics Competition "TERRAFUOCO." The organization of the 3rd edition of the award has been entrusted to the company ARANCIO ALTRA COMUNICAZIONE, under the coordination of Raffaele Piccolomini who appointed Pietro De Scisciolo, a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Foggia, as the artistic director and the artist Paolo De Santoli as the event curator. TERRAFUOCO is the competition of artistic and artisanal ceramics that celebrates the encounter between contemporary art and ceramic tradition. The initiative aims to enhance workshops, craftsmanship, and knowledge that make Puglia and Terlizzi a reference point for national ceramic production, promoting a creative dialogue with expressions of modern and contemporary art. The first edition was led by Eclettica Cultura dell'arte, and this third edition features ten selected artists through residencies, fostering a contamination between languages, materials, and visions, giving rise to a lively exchange between ancient knowledge and new artistic research. TERRAFUOCO thus supports the transmission of artisanal knowledge to new generations and opens up ceramic tradition to innovative and experimental interpretations. Terrafuoco — traME | Public Ceramics x Collective Identity! In the 2025 edition of Terrafuoco, we celebrate the faces of the city of Terlizzi that have left their mark, transforming them into ceramic artist busts and bringing history back to the people. A project that brings together artists, schools, and citizens, intertwining tradition and contemporaneity. traME is the way the community becomes the protagonist of its own story!Selected artists on display:
