The Rooms of Photography are pleased to announce the upcoming exhibitions dedicated to contemporary photography, curated by Denis Curti: Federico Garibaldi. AttraversaMenti, from August 27 to October 5, 2025, and Andrea Francolini. Eye2Eye, from October 11 to November 23, 2025.

The exhibitions, which will be set up on the first floor of the exhibition space inaugurated in March 2023 on the island of San Giorgio Maggiore, in Venice, will be presented concurrently with the major exhibition Robert Mapplethorpe. The forms of the classic curated by Denis Curti and visitable until January 6, 2026.

AttraversaMenti, the new solo exhibition by Federico Garibaldi, articulated in four sections - The beaches of others, blueShores, Through, NowHere/NoWhere - proposes a selection of works that cross the territories of the photographer's visual research, from suspended and dreamlike beaches to interior landscapes, from abstract photographs to images that challenge the boundaries between reality and perception, projecting the viewer into a suspended dimension between personal memory and universal suggestion.

Garibaldi's photographs are characterized by surreal perspectives and fluid compositions, the result of constant experimentation between art and interpretation, and are characterized by a strong autobiographical component. Nothing is left to chance: each image is the result of a conscious staging, in which the sensitivity of light and the search for new perspectives merge into a personal and universal narrative.

Born in Chiavari, Federico Garibaldi has developed over the years an artistic path that has led him to exhibit in prestigious venues in Italy and abroad, including the Triennale di Milano, the Luo Qi Museum in Hangzhou, the Duomo di Massa, the Palazzo dei Giureconsulti in Milan, and the Venice Biennale. His research also extends to the world of video and NFTs, with international recognitions such as the Silver Dolphin at the Cannes Corporate Media and TV Award.
