Ornamental mask that adorned a roman domus found in via Toschi, Reggio Emilia. It is only hypothetical the attribution of the mask to a fountain, even though this tipe of image was among the favorites for the sculptural decoration of the gardens. The general characteristic reproduce the “Papposileno” type, an old and often drunk satyr who appears in Greek and Roman mythology and literature.
