Old Kingdom, III - VI dynasty (2592 BC - 2118 BC), Gebelein. Pleated tunics are normally made from three pieces of linen, one for the body and two for the sleeves. The Museum holds about fifteen specimens found during the excavations conducted by the Museum at the sites of Gebelein or Assiut inside burials dating back mostly to the final period of the Old Kingdom.
