The middle scene, starting from the left, depicts Stefano's Farewell to Bishop Giuliano to begin his mission in Cilicia, followed by the Request for help from the father of a demon-possessed man and his liberation, and finally, the Dispute of Saint Stephen. The three scenes unfold in a single register that, thanks to some architectures, is divided into three environments and narrates the salient episodes of the saint's life that led him to martyrdom.
